I know you say that Elite Four can have any team, but I think they should pick a type like the Gym Leaders. To make the Elite Four different, though, perhaps we could have a type-related filler (eg. a Gyarados in for a Dragon-type Elite 4). This would put the Elite Four (and gyms) in line more with the games/anime. When the site/forum gets bigger, we can then consider a Battle Frontier, in which no types are specified and Frontier Brains can use any team. Let me know what you think.

Edit: I'll let you know my team once you've decided on my suggestion.
